Winx Club đŤ
I love the demon flower so much. For me, she could have made a real villain if she had been put in this state longer. More than a trophy for Darkar, she could have brought her power in another way and become a problem for the winx. Of course we should leave the children's cartoon for a more adult story
besides all that one of the best things I managed to imagine with Bloom in evil mode and the return of Bloom and the Alliance that she could have with Valtor in another season. imagine their power and their two characters together it could give something sick. And one could have imagined that the trix and the Winx could combine to prevent this threat from existing.
the winx as it's a children's cartoon they made them very much a little naive and stupid but it could have given something super interesting and moreover I would have thought that he would do that in the series except that well I was a little disappointed with the series.
what do you think about it?
The couple of Sky and Bloom is something to debate for me... Obviously I'm speaking from a more adult point of view. We had right to many important things in Winx. But also, there are some things that aren't phew....
Since my childhood, I noticed that sky and bloom's relationship was something very, very toxic. There wasn't really a time where he loved himself and showed it publicly. I really had the impression that it was more appearance than reality.
Have you noticed that Bloom has more affinity with many other people than with sky who is supposed to be the perfect representation for her? Have you noticed that Sky is jealous when Bloom interacts with another boy? Or that the series normalizes sky's behavior with Diaspro?
Bloom, who is a strong and independent girl, quickly becomes less independent and less happy. I didn't particularly like Bloom, but that doesn't stop me from seeing her character become bland and uninteresting. The toxicity of a relationship often does this. In addition, I don't mention what's wrong with the rest of the relationship because it would be endless!
The representation of the couple that Bloom and Sky form is problematic and normalizes toxic relationships for young children or at least unhealthy behaviors within a relationship. I find this distressing knowing that the Winx knew how to build good relationships! Relationships such as Nabu and Leila, Stella and Brandon or even Helia and Flora.
Let's be clear, I'm not talking about a perfect relationship, but a healthy relationship, which is very different!
What do you think ?
FATE: THE WINX SAGA â review
Fate: The Winx Saga is a teen drama inspired by the animated series Winx Club. The series is aimed at an audience of young adults and features a darker story than that of the cartoon (Wikipedia). In order to watch the show, you have to have to leave out of the picture most of your previous knowledge about the Winx Club. Although the show is inspired by the cartoon version, it is clear within the first few minutes of the first episode that most of the events do not match the Winx Clubâs story. Now, I know that a lot of people are angry and disappointed at the fact that both Flora and Tecna do not appear in the show, that The Trix are nowhere to be seen, and that the story does not correspond with its source of inspiration. However, I think that this adaptation has potential (this will be discussed later on) - although it can bit a little bit cringy at times. Like it was said before, Winx club is merely the source of inspiration for this show, but that does not mean that Fate: The Winx Saga was going to follow the original storyline step by step as it was. If we take Winx Club as our object of comparison, I do think that the characters are fairly well matched, although some of them are lacking certain characteristics (and being honest, I am still salty about what they did with Stella):
Bloom, for example, has the same personality traits as the Original Bloom. First, letâs recap Winx Clubâs Bloomâs personality: Bloom started off as an insecure girl at the beginning of the series because of her ignorance of her true origins and her strange, yet surprisingly potent powers. Later on, as she learned more about magic and herself, she grew increasingly curious about her past and whom her biological parents are. An escapist by nature, she has a tendency to run away when things get too hard or confusing for her, and can also be impatient and stubborn, with a short temper. Bloom was also impulsive at times, which led to some very bad experiences for both her and her friends. Her greatest strength and greatest weakness was her status as the guardian of the Dragon's Flame. While the Dragon Flame made her arguably the most powerful fairy in the Magic Dimension, it also consistently drew numerous enemies to her such as the Trix, Darkar, Valtor, and the Ancestral Witches. Despite her flaws, Bloom still has a heart of gold. She cares for all of her friends, allies, and families (both adopted and biological) deeply, and is always willing to help and fight for a good cause. She has shown herself to be selfless, caring, brave and a true capable leader. Bloom is tough when needed to be and always lends a helping hand to people in need (Wiki). Now that we have checked Original Bloomâs personality letâs compare it with Fate: The Winx Sagaâs Bloom: she also has the same insecurities as the original Bloom - also caused by her lack of knowledge when it comes to her true origins and the fact that she is a changeling (Aisha tells her this in Episode 1). In this show we see a Bloom that is willing to learn more about her powers and magic, and that is also curious about who her biological parents are. She is also an escapist and has a tendency to run away when things get too hard or confusing for her - this is told in Episode 1 when she tells Aisha about how she lost control and nearly burnt her parents alive âEvery night after that, I⌠I snuck out. I was so⌠scared that Iâd hurt them again⌠that I slept in this⌠creepy-ass⌠warehouse near my house until Miss Dowling found meâ. In this case, it is also her status as the guardian of the Dragonâs Flame that attracted the Burned Ones to her. This Bloom is also impatient, stubborn, and has a short temper. Bloom was also impulsive at times, which led to some very bad experiences for both her, her friends and the rest of students at Alfea - her decision of freeing Rosalind and letting her recharge her powers weakened the protective barrier and allowed the Burned Ones to enter Alfea risking all the teachers and studentâs lives. The Original Bloom is said to be selfless, caring, brave and a true capable leader, however we can say that this Bloom is overall selfish and thinks about her interests first instead of worrying about the consequences of her acts. Although it is still too early to assume that she will be a good leader, we canât deny that she is brave, tough and caring towards her friends and parents. Overall, I am happy with this Bloom: she matches the original oneâs personality pretty accurately and in terms of physical appearance she does resemble the Original Bloom.
Now Stella⌠Dear God, what did they do with her⌠I know I said that Fate: The Winx Saga was not meant to follow the original Winx Club, but I did expect the characters to at least have the same personalities. This is where I am most disappointed. The Original Stella is said to be proud and self-centered, Stella also cares deeply about her friends and family, not just herself. She will stick to the people she loves and do anything to keep them safe. Stella is not always seen wearing a smile on her face, but she does crack jokes to cheer her friends when they are depressed. Basically, Stella has a cheerful and optimistic personality. Besides that, she is totally obsessed with fashion, which clothes look best on her, and which dresses match her face the best. Stella often gives fashion advice to people in Alfea, but this advice is often not taken well. She would rather flirt with Brandon than study and do work, which sometimes annoys the other girls. The most intuitive of all the members, Stella likes to match make but has often had problems with understanding why her friends do not always like getting set up. However, despite her intuitions, Stella can be rather oblivious at times. She was sent to Alfea to become a stronger fairy, but this did not mean so much to her, though she did effectively become a fully accomplished fairy and a powerful one by fighting the first three season villains with the Winx. She uses her magic for anything, but she mostly wants to help her friends as deep inside she is a generous and helpful girl. Although she might disagree with her friends, Stella is very supportive and protective and will not hesitate to help them. She learns to accept that love and friendship are far more important than royalty, fashion, and shopping. Sometimes she hides her true personality because of her upbringing. In short, her cheerful exterior masks great sorrow (Wiki). Well⌠Where do I start analyzing Fate: The Winx Sagaâs Stella⌠I guess I will take a shot at the similarities first. This Stella is proud and self-centered - which the original one was - and she does like fashion (although I would not label her âobsessedâ with it) and gives advice to Alfeaâs students⌠kind of⌠she mostly critics their outfits - specially Terraâs. Like the original one, Stella was sent to Alfea to become a stronger fairy and rehabilitate from the incident that took place the previous year (meaning that she had to retake the first year again) - in Winx Club, Stella accidentally destroyed the potions laboratory but it is not stated what happened exactly; in Episode 5 of Fate: The Winx Saga, Stella tells Musa the truth of what happened the previous year - that her magic is erratic because of her mother and that that day she lost control and blinded her best friend unintentionally. And thatâs about it in terms of similarities⌠This Stella is dependent on Sky, her ex-boyfriend (still angry at the fact that there is no Brandon, and still creeped out by these two being a couple in the past) and seeks his attention all the time. The Original Stella is the most intuitive of all the members, but to be honest I do not see that trait in this Stella. This Stella is not shown to be a helpful girl nor someone that wants to help her friends, at least not until the end of the season when she tells the others that Bloom deserves to know her truth and that she supports her âI have an opinion. Everyone in this damn suite is so black or white. Bloom is a pain in the ass, but she deserves to know who she is, not the stories the faculty is telling her. Now we can worry about being right, or we can help our friend. Which is it?â (Episode 5). Stella is not a very supportive nor protective friend and only cares about herself⌠and Sky, and we do not get to see that cheerful exterior the Original Stella showed. This Stella is full of sorrow and sadness, and sometimes this eclipses any other trait she might have. To be honest this Stella is just a bitch most of the time and treats the rest of the people in Alfea like her mother treats her. However, if I put aside the Original Stella for a second, I do think that this version of her can be quite enchanting: she has all the characteristics needed for a great character development in this series, in fact, you can see some change in her towards the end of the season.
Aisha is one of the characters whose personality does not bother me too much, and I do see similarities with the Original Aisha. Winx Clubâs Aisha is extremely opinionated and open minded. She is as intuitive and when asked to, gives practical and pragmatic advice. She is also a talented dancer, athlete and speaks many different languages. Aisha gives practical advice and always provides a shoulder to cry on. She continuously shows this caring nature throughout the show, comforting Musa after her conflict with her father, and calming Flora's nerves when she experiences qualms about her feelings for Helia. However, besides the other girls, she might even be the most sensitive of the crew. She has also been shown to be rather stubborn and impatient, something that can get her into trouble by making her hold grudges and jump to conclusions. This could be the result of her isolated upbringing growing up, as she didn't really have many friends, making her come off as a little anti-social at times when she first appeared. Over the course of the seasons Aisha lost her tomboyish side possibly due to her opening up to the Winx and Nabu, but yet she still loves sports and still determined and energetic (Wiki). The Aisha from Fate: The Winx Saga is highly opinionated and she does not shy away from telling the rest her thoughts. She is also quite judgmental when meeting new people: in Episode 1 she helps Bloom end the call with her parents, they engage in a conversation about why Bloomâs parents do not know she is a fairy and when Bloom tells her that the idea of being a fairy is ridiculous, Aisha asks her if she has never read Harry Potter, and the conversation follows like this: B - âPlease. If you knew how many hours I have wasted taking Sorting Hat quizzesâŚâ // A - âRavenclaw?â // B - âSometimes Slytherin, yeahâ // A - âThat explains the lies thenâ // B - âHm. Let me guess. Gryffindor [silence] Explains the judgmentâ. She is intuitive, tries to help as much as she can while being truthful (even if sometimes she ends up hurting people) and gives advice - sometimes uncalled for. But, unlike the original one, this Aisha can also seem a bit meddlesome at times. Like the Original Aisha, this one is also sporty and is shown in the series - she goes swimming every morning. Now, what I miss the most in her character is the lack of background⌠we know the Original Aisha is the princess of Andros, but we know nothing about this Aisha - Who are her parents? Where does she come from? What worries her? Also, we never new why the is unable to control small masses of water⌠we are just shown that she has trouble with it and thatâs it, no more development for her. I think we should have been given more information about her and not just shown the same four traits of her personality all the time.
The next one is Musa and being honest I donât know what to feel about her. I am not bothered by the changes made but at the same time I am (being honest there is just one change they made that deeply bothers me)⌠For example, the Original Musa was a fairy of music and now she is a mind fairy - a fairy who feels other peopleâs emotions (Wikipedia). This is not a big deal, Winx Clubâs Musa was able to feels natureâs emotions thanks to the sounds it made and was very in tune with her musical side, this Musa is also linked to music but in a different way - she uses it to scape her overwhelming surroundings - and she is also able to feel emotions, itâs just that instead of naturesâs itâs peopleâs. I guess what bothers me the most is that the Original Musa was Asian and this one is not, I do not get the need to change that about the character⌠I have nothing against Elisha Applebaum, the actress that plays Musa, but why couldnât they cast an Asian actress instead? It would have brought more diversity to the show. Now that I have that out of the way, letâs focus on her personality. Winx Clubâs Musa loves music, dancing, singing, and playing all instruments, but her favorite instrument is the concert flute, the first instrument she ever learned to play. Musa usually plays amazing music but plays best when she is alone by herself in Alfea in a quiet spot. Despite being the most tomboyish of the Winx, she is perhaps the most emotionally vulnerable, and she balances this by putting up a tough front. Surprisingly, Musa gets the best grades of her friends, as mentioned. Her emotional weakness is the result of her mother's death and her father is far away. She is also a bit of a loner and had a crush on Riven, but they do not admit they like each other until the end of season two when they had their first kiss, which then starts dating (Wiki). When talking about Fate: The Winx Sagaâs Musa I feel like we should first address the elephant in the room⌠no, there is nothing going on between this Musa and Riven, in fact, theyâve had like two interactions in the whole show - I canât say I am mad about this, we all know Winx Clubâs Musa and Riven had a very toxic relationship so maybe this is a good move for this adaptation, and also, Sam seems to be good for her. Now, this Musa has said since Episode 1 that she used to dance and that she loved it just like the Original Musa, but unlike her she doesnât seem to play any instruments. However, she likes to listen to music alone by herself in her room or a quiet spot. She is also emotionally vulnerable and puts on a tough front. Just like Winx Clubâs Musa, this Musaâs emotional weakness is the result of her mother's death which she tells Terra in Episode 6 after she asks her to help Sam ease the pain he is feeling after having been infected by a Burned One: T - âYou canât just run away. Heâs in pain. And dadâs trying, butââ // M - âPlease just leave me aloneâ // T - âI know you care about himâ // M - âThatâs the problem. I canât feel it. I canât feel somebody I care about die. Not againâ // T - âWhat? ⌠MusaâŚâ // M - âMy mum died last year, Terra. And I was with her, and I felt it, the moment it happened. I felt everything she felt. Thatâs why I canât talk about my family, and thatâs way I canât be with Sam now. I canât feel it. Please donât make me feel it againâ. One thing we donât know about is wether she gets the best grades out of the group because we have never seen her study. Also, we know that she hates not being able to fight along with the Specialists and she is bother by the idea of having weak powers. Being honest, I am not disappointed with this Musa, in fact, I quite like this character but there are a couple of things I would like to know: once again I would have loved to see the moments she shares with the rest of the group because I can only remember her being open with Terra, maybe if they had included a couple of scenes of her bonding with the rest the friendship would have made more sense. I also wish that in season 2 (if they make it) they focus more on her, she has great potential to expand her powers⌠maybe let her fight with the rest of the fairies and the Specialists, getting to know more about her family and background, and also giving her more bonding time with other members of the group and not just Terra (but I get why they chose her to be her closest friend, I mean, she is her roommate and is dating her brother).
Now, now, now⌠letâs talk about probably the most âcontroversialâ character: Terra, not Flora but Terra. This the character that people where most disappointed with when the trailer was released, mostly because she is not Flora. Now, another elephant in the room: a lot of people who had watched Winx Club did not like the idea of having a plus sized character, especially when it was supposed to be a Winx. However, I think it is a great move including a plus size girl - the show being inclusive in this aspect is showcasing that anyone can be a Winx, because your size does not matter at all with the strengths you may have, so I approve this change, I applaud it. Another thing that disappointed fans was the fact that Terra is white - now, we donât now Floraâs ethnic because it was never stated in Winx Club but many people believe that because of her skin color she had to be Latina⌠I donât know about this because Miele, her sister, is white so⌠I guess you can believe what you want in this case but taking into account that Miele is white, and that Terra is just a cousin then the change made there itâs not that horrible (except that it narrows down the diversity in the main cast of the show). Also, another thing that left audiences speechless was that Flora was in fact mention in the show, but as Terraâs cousin âShocking. Earth fairy called Terra likes plants. Itâs a family thing. Iâve got this cousin called Floraâ (Terra in Episode 1), I guess everyone though that the producers making an adaptation from an already existing show would mean that at least the names of the main characters would remain the same, but clearly that was not the case. All of that being addressed, I am still going to compare Terra with Flora, mainly because they are supposed to be âthe sameâ person. So, Flora is shown to be a very calm, soft-spoken, caring, sweet, shy and genuine girl who loves plants and vegetation of all kinds. Being interested in experimenting with her plants, Flora became the potion master of the group who specializes in brewing and creating remedies and medicines from the uses of her magical plants. Due to her gentle and caring personality, Flora is strongly connected to nature and loves helping people. She is shown to have a sensitive personality to the point where she would instinctively care for her friends as well as her plants when they are in distress. Flora is the most mature member of the Winx as she possesses a deep sense of love, peace, happiness and tranquility. However, it is shown that Flora has an insecure side to her personality as she would have problems believing in herself at times. Her insecurity would sometimes cause her to hide most of her feelings to the point where she would have problems expressing them. Flora is one of the most diligent student at Alfea and is cautious of her actions. Although she has a kind-hearted side, she at times gets very angry at her enemies which can cause her to act quickly and show a more aggressive side of herself. As an older sister, she is shown to be quite overprotective who often forgets that people do mature and can protect themselves. Miele often has to deal with this side of Flora whenever the latter suspects a mission to be too dangerous. In this case, Flora has demonstrated some level of ignorance as this attitude tends to hurt Miele's feelings (Wiki). If you have read Floraâs personality, then you would have realized that Terra is just the same. Literally, there is very little I can add here⌠both of them are very calm, soft-spoken, caring, sweet, shy and genuine girls with sensitive personalities; both of them love plants and vegetation of all kinds; both are interested in experimenting with plants and their properties and creating potions; both love helping people; both have shown signs of insecurity and would have problems believing in themself at times. Terraâs insecurity would also sometimes cause her to hide most of her feelings to the point where she would have problems expressing them. Terra also shows quick responses when it comes to protecting her friends and herself and becomes more aggressive. I guess the biggest difference between them would be that Terra is insecure about her body, in Episode 2 this is clearly seen when she is unable to change in front of the rest of her friends. Overall, I do like Terra, in fact, I think is the best character of them all. I literally have no complains when it comes to her. I declare myself a big fan of Terra.
The next character I am going to talk about is the new addition to the Winx World: Beatrix, who is supposed to embody The Trix in one person. Beatrix is an air fairy who can manipulate electricity (Wikipedia). Now, we all know that The Trix are a trio of witches who act as the main antagonists of the Winx Club series. The group is made up of three direct descendants of the Ancestral Witches, the most powerful and evil witches to have ever existed. They focus on what they are best at: acting maliciously and joining forces with the darkest villains the Magic Dimension has to offer (Wiki). These three witches are Icy, Darcy and Stormy and if my interpretation is correct, Beatrix would have the âlooksâ of Darcy, the evilness of Icy and the powers of Stormy, however as it was said before she is an air fairy which means that she can manipulate many aspects of the weather spectrum, so her actual powers can be a combination of Icy and Stormyâs. I still donât know if she is evil or not⌠I mean, she helped Rosalind but thatâs because she saved her when she was a baby so⌠I donât know, weâll see what happens with her in season 2 (if we get one). What we know about her is that she is a troublemaker, and she does not hesitate to kill if itâs needed. She is also a very powerful witch, powerful enough to temporarily damage the protection veil placed by Luna (queen on Solaria) upon Aster Dell and also powerful enough to control other people with electricity. Although we donât have enough information about her or her background, I think she is a great addition to the adaptation and Iâm hoping to see more of her.
Now that I have these characters out of the way I would like to talk about the plot. I actually watched the show trying to forget any knowledge I had about the Winx Club - which was not easy because I breathed Winx when I was a child, and after getting pass the fact that the storylines are completely different, I actually found myself enjoying the show. The plot is definitely a lot darker than Winx Club, but I guess itâs normal, after all this is aimed for young adults and not kids. As I said at the beginning of this post, I do think the show has potential: the plot is interesting and by the end of the show you find yourself seeking answers to all the open questions left. For example: Who is Rosalind and what does she want from Bloom? Why did she take her to Earth? What is going to happen between Stella and her mother? And Sky and his now-I am-not-dead-but-you thought-I was father? And what is going to happen with Silva? What is going to happen to the students of Alfea with Rosalind as Headmistress of the school? What is this war - mentioned by Rosalind in Episode 6 to Farah Dowling - that is about to come? Is Headmistress Dowling really dead? Will we be hearing more about blood witches? Who sent the Burned Ones after Bloom? And many more. I also think that having the Burned Ones as the monsters of this season is a great throwback tho the end of Winx Clubâs season 1: if you remember in the war between The Trix and the Magic World, the three witches invoke the dark army to fight for them - these creatures are made purely of dark magic and slightly resemble the Burned Ones, although I am aware of the fact that they are not the same - Burned Ones are zombie-like figures that appear to be able to infect others by cutting them, in addition to possessing superhuman speed and strength.
I have to make a comment here, and that is that I think that the storyline was way too rushed, although I get that thereâs so much one can show in 6 episodes of 40 minutes each. Still, I would have liked them to cut down the horny scenes between the characters and showed us more scenes of the main characters backgrounds, their stories, etc. I guess what I missed the most in this series was the friendship that characterized Winx Club. Although by the end of the first season the five girls are friends (in Episode 6 all of them go with Bloom to California to tell her parents that she is a fairy - emotional support - and stayed a few days there, and when they came back to Alfea they did it together laughing and smiling while reaching the schoolâs entrance), most of the journey that allowed the girls to reach that point was not shown - specially how they get along with Stella and the moments they shared prior to her leaving Alfea at the end of Episode 4. I would have liked to know the moments they shared, because all we got was the same bitchy Stella doing her own thing while the rest shared their moments, so when Stella tells her mother in the car âYou couldâve let me say goodbye to my friendsâ I was left deeply confused and thinking âwhat friends?â⌠It was a missed opportunity and if there is a season 2 I would like them to show the moments the girls share and how their bond strengthens. Overall, I did like the show and would like to have more seasons with more episodes - 6 were not enough for me. I hope that, if the show gets picked up for another season, that the producers consider focusing more on the girlsâ friendship and their stories. I also would like for the Winx to transform like Bloom did and that their wings improve (honestly Bloomâs wings were cool but a little bit meh, I actually think the trailerâs wings were better).
And thatâs all my beautiful people, my review on Fate: The Winx Saga.
(Fun fact: Fate in Italian means fairies).

(IrĂŠ a Italia solo a quejarme ÂĄESPEREN POR MĂ!
MY GIRLIES MY GIRLIES MY GIRLS !!! I love their outfits so much they're so so cute
An Unexpected Event
Chapter 1 â Season 1
đŚ
Oriana's mornings in Gardenia used to always start the same, with the sweet song of the birds, the ticking of the clock, the warm sunlight hitting her cheek and her brother Isidoro jumping on her to crush her at three past eight in the morning.
âUp, Oriana, come on, the sun is out,â exclaimed the fourteen-year-old teenager as he jumped again and again over his sister, taking the air out of her.
âGet down! It's vacation, you should sleep until noon" with all the strength Oriana could muster, she stood up suddenly, throwing her brother to the floor, she aggressively pushed the strands of black hair that were on her face and fixed her stormy gray eyes on Isidoro âThe door had a key!â
âAnd I had a clip, you should see everything you learn on the internet.â
Isidoro threw himself on his sister again to lift her by pulling her leg while she held on to the headboard of her bed to continue sleeping, in a last attempt to resist Oriana took her pillow to suffocate her little brother, which obviously developed in a pillow fight.
âI swear,â said a voice from the door stopping her game. âThe next time someone praises the behavior of you two I will laugh in front of her face.â
The two teenagers on the floor rolled their eyes.
âOh look at me, I'm Mr. Lorenzo Perfectâ Isidoro mocked, pretending to have class âI did boxing, I run in the mornings every weekend, I have a girlfriend who looks like a model and has a brain...â
âHey!â
âAnd don't forget my greatest hits,â added Oriana, mocking like her little brother. âThe thirteenth great concert out of tune in the bathroom shower, the fart symphony in my room, the harmony of explosions in the kitchen at noon...â
âOriana, stop,â the young man pleaded, trying to appeal to her little sister's usual maturity while her face blushed more and more.
âAnd my personal favorite, the best sex education class ever completed.â
Lorenzo pounced on his younger brothers and started tickling them in an attempt to get them to leave the alliance against him, he loved them, but he would prefer when Oriana was in alliance with him and didn't riddle him with Isidoro.
Oriana's coughs erased any trace of amusement between the three brothers, as Lorenzo sat her up and urged her to follow her breathing, Isidoro dashed across the room to get the inhaler from her desk.
The air began to enter the girl's lungs again as she closed her eyes in search of avoiding guilt, it was not her fault that she had asthma, it was not her fault that her airways decided to close, it was not her fault...
âAre you okay?â Her older brother's trembling voice brought her back to earth. She looked at Lorenzo, his soft brown hair and loving brown eyes warped in concern for her, it wasn't her fault, it wasn't her fault...
âOf course, it was nothingâ Oriana replied, giving her the most reassuring smile she could do âWe should have breakfast, I'm dying⌠I'm so hungry.â
Ignoring the elephant in the room the two boys left to let her dress, once alone Oriana fell on her bed watching her trembling hands, she took the necklace on the nightstand next to her bed to press it against her chest as she inhaled and exhaled trying to calm down and prevent the tears held in his eyes from increasing.
â ââŁ
In the house next door lived a beautiful redhead named Bloom who was sleeping peacefully after staying up late drawing, of course for her mother Vanessa it was already more than acceptable time for her to get up and take advantage of her vacations, so she decided to use a white lie to see her sleeping so soundly.
"Bloom, it's almost nine o'clock. Didn't you have classes with Professor Mildred?"
The redhead's scream of horror was proof enough that her little trick had an effect on her, she even managed to wake up her pet rabbit, Kiko.
âWhy didn't you wake me up?" Bloom complained brushing her teeth. âYou know she hates me! How come the alarm didn't go off?â It was only after she finished getting dressed that she stopped to think, âWait a second, the alarm didn't go off because I'm already on vacation Mom! It's not funny!â
But the brown-haired woman had already left the room laughing at her daughter, the poor redhead had no choice but to take her bunny in her arms and go down to the kitchen.
âGood morning, darling,â greeted her father, leaving her coffee and newspaper aside, âHow did you wake up?â
âAwful, your wife scared me awake, your poor good little daughter,â Bloom complained dramatically, even managing to get a few tears from the corners of her blue eyes.
âWife, how could you do something so Machiavellian to my poor and good daughter?â Her father continued the game.
âToo early for their plays,â she warned with a smile to her husband Mike and her artist daughter "Have a good breakfast and start the day strong, enjoy your weekend before helping me in the flower shop, Bloom.â
âOkay, I'll start strong,â Bloom agreed as she sat at the table after giving Kiko her breakfast, she clasped her hands together in a beseeching gesture. âPlease let me go to the beach with my friends.â
âBloom, we've been talking about this since your sixteenth birthday, you're still so young,â Vanessa reminded him, joining the table.
âAnd I'm eighteen now, nineteen in six more months, I think I'm old enough now,â she complained, sinking her teeth into her toast.
âWhen you're twenty-one you can do whatever you want Bloom, but you're still a girl, our girl.â The image of a little redhead with pigtails overlapped Mike's vision of her teenage daughter.
âIt's not fair, then they'll use the card while you live under our roofâŚâ the redhead let out a sigh trying to control herself, if she got capricious she'd never convince them, she needed to negotiate âListen, it's not like I'm going to go with strangers, just Oriana, Selina and I, your have known them since we were little girls. I can understand the trip to Ireland with Eldora, but the beach is only a few hours away.â
âBloom, I'm sorry, but the answer is still no. Also soon we'll go skiing, to vary this year's vacationsâ the rest of breakfast passed in resigned silence until Bloom took Kiko and left, but Vanessa couldn't help but turn her concern over Mike âDo you think we're being very strict? Bloom has proven to be trustworthy, Selina is a good girl, and Oriana certainly knows how to keep them from doing dumb things.â
âLove, it bothers me too but it's still dangerous, look at thisâ Mike pointed out, handing her the newspaper âThe disappearance of young people on the coasts increased and even...â
âThey found parts of their bodies that were⌠Oh dear.â Vanessa turned the page sharply at the more grotesque images.
âI know we can't make sure she's completely safe in Gardenia but still...â
âNo, it's okay, Gardenia is safe, I just wish that Selina and Eldora are also safe on their trip to Ireland.â
â ââŁ
Bloom put Kiko on the basket of her bicycle and locked the metal frame that served as a cage, then took the bike out of the garage to go in search of her friend.
âIt will always be the same with them, I will never be old enough,â Bloom lamented, talking to Kiko was something she did from time to time, he even seemed to listen to her sometimes.
âThat's because they're your parentsâ Bloom turned her face to meet her friend Oriana who was looking at her with amusement in her gray eyes, she had her hair tied in a high ponytail as well as wearing baggy sports pants and a loose blouse one size larger, her hands gripped the backpack straps on her back âand to a lesser extent, if you're referring to your plan to go to the beach this vacation, it could be because of all the disappearances that have been going on.â
âDisappearances?â
âYes, you know, young people between sixteen and twenty-five years old... Don't you watch the news?â Oriana rolled her eyes in her confusion, Bloom knew she got lost in the clouds more times than Oriana could bring it down. âThey were mutilated, some pieces washed up on the shores even with bite marks, beach tourism is on the tightrope, in fact we're going camping this vacation and from what I heard from uncle Mike you're going skiingâ
Bloom nodded as she assimilated the information, clearly the coast was dangerous at the moment but she would have preferred her parents to tell her instead of refusing without any explanation other than her age.
"Oh no," Oriana murmured suddenly, two seconds later she knew what she meant.
âHey, Bloom, Oriana! Still with that junk of pedals?â
Mitzi was Bloom's classmate since she started high school, she was part of the journalism club and her animosity towards her hadn't ended even after finishing her education, she always knew how to get on her nerves. She watched them two leaning against the small pillar of her house while two of her friends tried to load a motorcycle into the van.
âMitzi, hi, how's everything going?â Oriana asked, faking a smile while Bloom murmured under her breath that there was nothing wrong with the bicycle her parents gave her.
âI heard that you and Andy broke upâ straight to the point of course, Oriana had to make a great effort not to roll her eyes, everyone knew that Bloom and Andy had broken up, it was what happened in friendly cities like this âStill will you spend the vacation in Gardenia?â
âIn fact, we're leaving in a few weeks, Mitzi,â Bloom replied for the first time after controlling her temper.
âTo the same beach as always for sureâ Oriana's firm hand on Bloom's arm was what prevented Mitzi from having a bloody nose âWell, I feel generous so I'll send you a postcard from Spain, I could give you a new one perspective.â
âThanks Mitzi, but we will go skiing this yearâ
âReally? Well, I'm sorry for your parents, I still remember how disastrous the fifth year trip was.â
âOf course you do,â Bloom said through clenched teeth.
The three of them remembered that trip, Bloom had barely finished learning and due to Mitzi's prank the redhead tripped during the descent, the only good thing about that was that the redhead and Andy became close.
âIs that a new motorcycle, Mitzi?â Oriana asked trying to divert the conversation and create a quick exit.
âWatch out!â She roared at them as the boys almost dropped her, âIt's super new, isn't it great?â
âVery much, we hope you have fun on your vacation Mitzi, and stay away from the beaches.â
âHave a nice vacation, see you laterâ said Bloom quickly before getting on her bicycle and getting out of it like lightning, Oriana followed her running âShe's so smug.â
âCome on Little Flame, don't start to burn,â Oriana said affectionately, âYou don't want she to see you like this before her trip. Right?â
Selina was their friend who would soon go to Ireland with Eldora, a nice woman who allowed them to spend the afternoons in her garden and with whom they had tea while she told them wonderful stories about heroes, fairies and witches. She had even given the three of them some nice bracelets that they never took off.
âWhat's wrong?â Bloom asked at the intense silver gaze.
âWhere's your bracelet Bloom?â Two seconds later Oriana regretted asking, because the redhead was startled and lost control of the bicycle almost colliding with a car âBloom!â
The named kept holding tightly to the streetlight against which she crashed during her maneuver to avoid the car, it took her a few seconds to come to before she realized that her friend was ranting with Mr. Genaro from the grocery store.
ââŚIt was in red! Of course the coward would run away!â
âCome on Orianella, focus on the good, look, Fioralba is fineâ said Mr. Genaro while Oriana concentrated on helping Bloom to stabilize, then she noticed that Kiko and the bicycle had no damage âHere, some apples to recover peace, are you okay Fioralba?â
âYes... yes, it was just the scare, it left me in a bit of a shock,â replied Bloom, taking one of the three apples. âThank you very much, Mr. Genaro.â
âIt's nothing girls, but be more carefulâ both nodded before saying goodbye to continue on their way âsay hello to your mother Bloom and tell her I have a discount on strawberries.â
â ââŁ
âI won't rip your head off just because you forgot our bracelet for a day, Bloom,â Selina scolded her before taking a bite of her apple. Once they got home, Oriana made sure to tell her what had happened.
âIt was a spur-of-the-moment thing, don't worry about it.â
âYou're my friend, of course I'm going to worry,â the green-haired girl looked from her to the other girl, âCan you keep her safe by yourself?â
âI'll do my best, I promise.â
âHey! I'm still hereâ the two girls laughed at the redhead's pout, Oriana couldn't help but touch her little freckled nose.
âSelina, the taxi is waiting,â the woman reminded her from inside the car.
âI'm coming Grandma!â, Selina informed, throwing the core of her apple before hugging her friends, âI'm going to miss you so much.â
âAnd we you, but we'll still be here when you get back,â Bloom promised.
âHave fun and be very careful, avoid approaching the coast as much as possible,â Oriana reminded with concern.
The friends parted ways, Selina promised to take care of herself and she got into the taxi with her grandmother, the three looked at each other until the car turned the corner. Bloom and Oriana kept walking while eating their apples in the direction of Gardenia's park, they didn't used to be there for a long time since they preferred to spend it in Eldora's garden all together, but now they wouldn't be there for a few weeks so it felt bad to enter alone.
Already in the park the two girls looked for a tree with good shade to sit under, Bloom supported the bicycle freeing Kiko to play a little not far from her sight, then she sat next to Oriana leaning her head on her shoulder, they simply stayed like that, in silence, listening to the sound of the wind in the trees and feeling the warmth of the Sun around them. That until Kiko came back scared.
âWhat's wrong Kiko?â Bloom asked tenderly stroking the grayish head of his pet âDid you meet those terrifying squirrels again? Should we steal some of their nuts?â
But Kiko seemed determined to show them what scared him so much, if Bloom's pants tugging told them something, the redhead looked at her friend for advice from her but she was already standing, holding out her hand to help her stand up.
âYou know that Kiko is insistent when he wants something, pets are like their ownersâ explained Oriana, making strength to pick her up.
âAre you insinuating something?â said Bloom mockingly as she began to walk following her rabbit through the trees âBecause as far as I know Ketzy is still sleeping.â
âErrorâ a forked tongue came out near Oriana's neck, Bloom looked at her strangely before which her friend lowered her blouse a little by the shoulder showing the head of her pet snake, then she adjusted the blouse a little showing the redhead that the rest of the body was wrapped around his torso.
âCrazy, you're completely ready for the asylumâ but without warning she was thrown to the ground feeling like something went over her head.
âBe quietâ, Oriana ordered being absorbed by the sight before them, she stretched out her arm so that her snake stayed near a bush and pushed Kiko slightly towards her who wrapped it up safely so Bloom decided to set her eyes on the clearing bordered by trees and ignore the head-high burn in the tree behind her.
The fine golden strands of her hair were the first thing that caught the girl's eye in the center of the clearing, perhaps because they shimmered in the sunlight or perhaps because they framed the tan-skinned beauty who had a scepter in her hands, dressed a bright orange top and shorts with boots of the same color up to below the knees, she wore silver bracelets on her wrists similar to the small ones that tied her hair in two pigtails, the most striking perhaps was what was on her back, blue , translucent, bright. Wings! Well, maybe the yellowish big ogre and the condensed shadow-like demons in front of her were also a bit conspicuous.
A guttural voice said strange words, the ogre probably if his mouth moving indicated something, but a soft bubbly voice countered it, Bloom lamented that she couldn't understand what they were talking about but the blond haired girl was clearly being attacked.
âWhat a bad luck! I don't understand anything!â Bloom complained in whispers to her friend.
âThe ogre wants to take the scepter from the blonde, but the blonde doesn't plan to give it to him, something about a family inheritance or something like that,â Oriana murmured without taking her eyes off the battle, or maybe she did it for a second since she had a lever of iron between his hands, Bloom didn't notice when she got it âPay more attention!â
Bloom decided to listen to her friend after being scolded, so she tried to sharpen her ear while she stroked Kiko's head in an attempt to reassure him, she knew that Ketzy would protect him.
â... princess... vile creature... with those disgusting demons! Burning sun!â A luminous ray came out of the silver scepter and seemed to cut several demons that were extinguished in an explosion of what she hoped was not blood, the stains on the ground they faded into little lights after a few seconds.
âDon't think too much of yourself princess, even with that scepter in your hands you will reach your limitâ exclaimed the ogre sending more demons to the attack âYou have been transformed for a long time to be a novice.â
The two friends looked worried, even without knowing what the ogre was referring to, they could notice that the blonde was already exhausted, her fall due to a blow from the ogre, he took away her scepter and the demons held her on the ground, that was their time to interfere⌠even if they weren't quite sure how.
âHey! Leave her alone!â exclaimed Bloom true to herself, her desire to hit someone had been boiling under her skin since she met Mitzy, âOr else I... wait a minute, what can I do?â
âAttack her!â the ogre ordered fiercely, clinging to the scepter that he had worked so hard to get.
The result was three demons bated with an iron lever.
âYou don't know, but I'm going to try to make them pureeâ Oriana exclaimed at the same time that she crushed the head of a demon against the ground making it explode, the stain that fell on her face only made her look lunatic âGo help her! I cover you!â
That was how Bloom found herself kicking and stomping on the four demons holding the pretty girl to the ground. Bloom was agitated, scared, with her body burning and feeling the pulsations of her heart that tried to burst her veins but she couldn't leave the girl no matter how much those demons scratched her, the alarm in the girl's honey eyes made her turning to see how half a dozen demons pounced on her, Oriana was busy hitting the other half and from the look of panic she gave her she realized that she would not arrive on time, everything depended on her but the only thing she could do was cover herself with her arms.
âKEEP AWAY!â Bloom felt the burn in her throat at the imperative roar, if she had closed her eyes she would have missed the reddish sphere that suddenly enveloped her repelling the demons, but exhaustion came just as quickly making her fall to the ground. knees.
âOh! That really was a good attackâ the blonde praised with a smile despite the clear effort she made to sit down after being freed from the demons âIn Solaria we would be very pleased to have you in our army.â
Bloom noticed from a distance how Oriana sighed with relief to see that they were both safe, but it was that second of distraction that was enough for the ogre to capture her wrists and hold her in the air swinging her with one hand from one side to another, the girl stifled a groan of pain.
âDo you think some simple gaians can come and interfere?â
âLet her go right now!â The blonde demanded, stomping her foot on her lawn, âThis is between you and me, ogre!â
âWell, they should have thought about it before interfering, now they will suffer the consequences!â The young woman he was holding murmured something with difficulty.
âLET ME GO!â Oriana ordered, releasing a solid explosion of energy that eliminated the remaining demons leaving only the three furthest from her and threw the ogre towards the trees dropping the scepter, the girl fell to the ground breathing hard and praying she didn't have an asthma attack right now, she had left her inhaler in the backpack which was in the basket of Bloom's bicycle.
Bloom ran over to her friend to check on her, she had always worried that she wouldn't be able to do anything during one of her attacks. The blonde walked up to them to pick up her scepter, then gazed with curious eyes at her two saviors, ideas flowing like a waterfall through her head. A groan caused all three girls to turn their heads towards the fallen ogre.
âWell, it's time to finish this, I need a good bath,â the blonde murmured before pointing at him, âI've got my scepter back, ogre, you have no chance of defeating me!â
Apparently he knew it since the three remaining demons approached him before disappearing. Bloom noticed that one of them had a piece of light blue cloth in his mouth so she looked down finding his bloody left calf and a piece of his pants missing, for a second she wondered how high his adrenaline was not to have felt that bite.
âThat will leave a mark,â Bloom muttered annoyed, she liked those pants.
âThat was a great fight, reallyâŚâ the blonde said before closing her eyes and falling to the ground, between the two of them they barely managed to keep her from hitting her head, she was still breathing so it was probably just exhaustion, they just noticed that she was so hurt and scratched like them. Her two piece outfit changed into an equally weird orange and light blue dress, Bloom and Oriana looked at each other in confusion.
âWell⌠now what?â
Oriana shrugged.
â ââŁ
The ogre appeared in a dark place covered in mist, the demons around him quickly dispersing at the sound of heels.
âYou failed, Knut,â an icy voice drawled, making him shiver. âIt's not the first time, but it could be the last.â
âIt really wasn't my fault, miss, I had the scepter in my hands until those two gaians appeared...â
âGaians?â questioned a second booming voice. âHa! Tell us, Knut, how come two little Gaian girls could stop you from obeying our order?â
âThey weren't normal, they fought the shadow demons and blew them up like nothing, they both used magic like faewyrds.â
âThere have been no faewyrds on Gaia for centuries,â the first voice spoke again âdescribe them.â
âWell... they were... let me see...â
âKnut,â a third voice called his attention, this one was more attractive, âWhere are your glasses?â
âRight here, miss,â the ogre said, taking it out of his pocket.
âWell, PUT THEM ON!â the three shouted at the same time.
âWe told you not to take them off!â the second voice roared as it obeyed him. âAn ogre with myopia, you have to see.â
âHe just have to remember not to take them off, it's okay,â said the third voice.
âStop defending him!â
âSilence!â ordered the first voice âThose gaian faewyrds could be of some use to us, I've read about them, capricious and arrogant, only their wishes matter...â
âOne of the demons managed to rip a piece of her clothing off, a hunting troll might lead us to them.â
âOkay, go and get that scepter.â
âAND THIS TIME WITHOUT FAILS!â
â ââŁ
Oriana fell exhausted on her bed once she reached her room, Ketzy wrapped around her arm before hissing in her face, the young woman smiled at her.
âWe had a strange morning, don't you think, Ketzy?â The young woman turned her back, letting her pet cuddle up on her chest, while she tried to make sense of what had happened.
With some effort they managed to take the blonde to Bloom's house where they left her in the guest room and disinfected her wounds a little, Bloom managed to change before Vanessa arrived but Oriana had to go out the window to avoid being seen at that condition. She entered her house in silence and changed as quickly as possible, ignoring the pain in her body, then it was as if nothing happened and she told Vanessa that Bloom invited her to lunch, in whispers she found out that the redhead followed her suggestion to communicate that the blonde was Wanda's cousin who needed a place to stay, luckily it was a believable lie. A dry cough made her snake look at her, she took her inhaler without hesitation and put it in her mouth, although since that happened in the park she felt as if her chest had eased, her lungs hurt more than ever when she breathed, she could almost feel something scraping the walls of his lungs. She knew Bloom had a sore throat and she was sure it was because of the roar she let out, whatever they had done in the park had taken a toll on her bodies.
âYou seem to have had an interesting morning,â said a sweet voice, the orange ghost that had accompanied her since she was a child appeared floating above her.
âHow interesting can a strange fairy be when you have your own personal ghost?â she sneered.
âOh, I remember the expression for thatâ the ghost smiled happily âTouchĂŠ.â
âI've taught you well,â the dark-haired girl's expression fell. âWhat happened this morning, Daf?â
âI think deep down you know the answer Dyiâ was the return of the ghost, her translucent hand caressed her hair although she couldn't touch it âDon't think about it now, sleep a little, you need to rest.â
With an ethereal chant of warm words Oriana fell asleep. It was hours later when Oriana woke up identifying the hand that was caressing her hair as Lorenzo's. His brown eyes drowned her in affection and reminded her of waking up that morning, it wasn't her fault...
âDid you have a good nap?â her brother asked in a sweet whisper.
âIt was refreshingâ and she wasn't lying, the pain in her body had diminished a bit âBloom and I had a rather curious morningâ she commented to him as if it wasn't important.
âAs much as I want to hear that story which something tells me is more than curious we should wait, I woke you up because Father came back.â
âI thought he'd be at the station all weekend.â
âIt seems that someone offered to take his turn, he is in the living room. Shall we?â
Oriana nodded as she accepted her brother's help to get up, waiting for Ketzy to snuggle up to her again before leaving her room. She would let her brother think she was crazy later.
â ââŁ
It was during the night already in her bed when Bloom began to think about the madness that ended up getting into the morning, she was only supposed to wish Selina a good trip and then relax in the park with her other friend, she shouldn't end up fighting against shadow demons the size of dogs and an ogre of at least two meters to defend a complete stranger who shot beams of light and floated above the ground. She wasn't going to lie, a part of her was ecstatic despite the intense sore throat she still had fromâŚwhatever happened in the park, but there was another part of her (which she was pretty sure was influenced by Oriana) that didn't want to get excited about anything thinking that she was the one who caused that⌠magic.
Kiko went up to the bed in search of some pampering before sleeping, something that she was not sure of getting due to the fear that finally settled in her, now she could remember the sharp claws scratching her skin and the long teeth digging into her calf left, not to mention the bruises that would soon appear on his body. A few small tears fell from her eyes, she immediately covered her mouth with her hand to prevent any noise from coming out. She would have liked so much to call Oriana.
As the tiredness of the day hit her causing her drowsiness, the memories attacked her mind, the demons were too many, Oriana could not defend her, there were more ogres... Nightmares flooded her dreams causing a spark, a small one near the carpet next to the door, then another and another and another andâŚ
Oriana woke up suddenly very agitated, in the afternoon she fell asleep from exhaustion so her mind had not been able to play with her but it was very different now. Everything was the same as in the morning but this time there was no magic to protect Bloom, she did not arrive on time, the two girls ended up disfigured and cold on the bloody ground, the ogre began to laugh before throwing her away to fall on the hard pavement covered in blood, now there were screams, dozens of people screaming, babies crying and women laughing, when the smoke reached his nose she woke up sitting up in bed, the problem was that the smell of smoke still remained. Little did she care if the noise the window made when she slammed it against the wall woke her brothers up.
There was smoke coming from Bloom's room.
Oriana doesn't remember opening the door to her house, only the one to the Peters' house, later she would realize that the pain in her body wasn't from the park or from how she skipped the steps of the stairs while running to her friend's room but for having jumped from her own room to the ground without hearing her brother's screams, but now only the door that stood between her and her friend in danger mattered.
âBloom, get away from the door!â Oriana made sure to yell before throwing all her weight on the wood.
Bloom's tears streamed down her cheeks as she hugged Kiko against her chest. Cornered in the only part of the room that wasn't on fire, Oriana felt the wind push against her back as she walked through the fire to hug her friend protectively from her.
The wind sang in her ears, she heard hurried footsteps and the sound of the fire extinguisher before it stopped.
âAnd the fire?â Mike asked confused, looking up, Oriana noticed that there wasn't even a small flame left. There were burned areas, mostly near the door, but Bloom's papers were scattered throughout the room and the window was wide open with broken glass, no one could tell if there was a fire in the room or a hurricane.
âDid you take the door off its hinges?â Vanessa questioned in disbelief, Oriana noticed the pieces of the wall that fell off, then she noticed her two brothers behind her friend's mother, Lorenzo had a stony look on his face.
âYou know, right now I'd love to hear about your pretty curious morning.â
End of Chapter 1
Actually, I couldnât even imagine that I would be impressed by the series so much. But I really like the story and how it was rebuilt, the characters ambiguity.
So, it's Bloom raised by Sky's dad. A bit trained and a lot badassed :)
What did you watch when you were younger?đ

Headcanon that ringlets/paper curls/irl shirley-temples are huge fashion statements on Domino, popularized by the royal family wearing them for centuries and ofc everyone wants to resemble the crown. Royals like Daphne and Marion have the privilege of having their hair curled everyday because they have servants/maids/butlers who do that for them, but the common folk always try to curl their hair for special occasions.
Bloom low-key hates it because she's all about originality and being yourself, which is why she keeps her hair kind of straight at the end of the second movie despite it being an extremely special occasion (much to her three handmaids' chagrin but oh well, they're gonna try to get her to eat a fish in the second movie so they had it coming lol)
Did anyone sense any sort of tension between Mrs. Faragonda and Headwitchstress Griffin? Because me and my sister are rewatching Winx Club and it's hilarious. Also, we think that Icy and Bloom had something going on, because opposites attract.
Up coming winx fanfic. Yes that is what Iâm doing
