A sample page spread from the GM's Guide in our current kickstarter project, a collection of 50 system-neutral magic items for TTRPGs inspired by medieval literature, marginalia, and archaeology.
Okay, technically this one is inspired by pre-medieval archaeology, but come on. Look at it. You can't be mad at those little mice.
This was inspired by the following item of ancient pottery, currently held by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (link here):
And no, I cannot explain how or why I decided that this thing should be used to make helpful mouse-constructs out of wine. But if you want it to do that for you, you can back the kickstarter at the link below -- it runs until the end of June.
Rodent woke me up at stupid o’clock in the morning, trying to drag a dog treat literally twice it’s size. I startled it, and spent two minutes staring at its hiding place contemplating if there was a way to grab it that wouldn’t end up with me getting a tetanus shot at dawn-isn’t-for-four-hours o’clock. There was not. It lives another day, and I could not fall back asleep.
I think the mouse is eating the bait out of the trap. Landlord still won’t let me get a cat. (Allergies, so, understandable.) We may end up back at glue trap or a snap trap. Take the mercy, rodent.

The rats have been hard at work excavating a huge tunnel at the front of their right cage section. The first pic was from last Wednesday, the second from yesterday.
I wish we could give them even deeper bedding but it would get too complicated to clean out, sigh. Maybe someday we'll figure something out? They adore it, and it's been well worth the mess they make!

I love my wonderful alien rats
I like to watch bad low-budget movies, and I found the film monsters (1993) (Russian). They use live action footage of small animals as the "monsters". As a rat owner, I find it hilarious how they try to make the rats look threatening. (No animals were actually harmed in filming)
