CT Scans show the infection hasn't spread and. Nothing was left behind.

A day or two admitted in the hospital is the plan.

Hello dearest readers,

I am writing you from the ER.

The derma glue, to close the surgery site, came off when I took off the bandaging from my surgery on the 26th and I saw my surgeon on the first and he said it looked OK.

However, starting Friday, I started having diarrhea like that and then through the night it started hurting like a motherfucker and feeling hot to the touch.

Then when I woke up today, I just got worse and worse and worse and worse and worse… I can barely walk without someone helping me.

I woke up with Violent shaking, massive diarrhea, can’t keep down anything except for a sip of water here and there and even then I still try to throw it up, massive dizziness, passing out, I feel like I’m on fire, but I’m freezing to death, my surgical site is leaking like a faucet and it’s hot to touch and then it feels like a rock.

They have mentioned possible hospitalization but who knows.

They finally gave me Norco and more Zofran and now I am on two different IVs of antibiotics and fluids.

I also stopped shaking and having to keep in the fetal position.

Sorry for errors, using speech-texting mode, my hands are still shaking.

Thank you for your continued support.

I am still in the hospital because of a few things.

My kidneys are not doing well (but very slowly improving) because of the antibiotics I was on to clear up the sepsis.

Apparently, those two meds are great for infections but highly toxic, and now I have a minor/moderate kidney injury.

My original Hospitalist Doctor, who was off for a couple of days, has returned.

She found out that I can’t leave the hospital because they are still fighting about wound care.

We thought I had been accepted into Valley Presbyterian Hospital for daily wound care, but they will not let me start until September.

So now they are trying to find somewhere to go for wound care that the insurance will cover between now and September.

My insurance is fighting it because they don’t want to cover anywhere.

So even if my kidneys are good to go, I can’t go anywhere.

I still have major brain fog and what not which the doctor says may take a while to get over since when she first saw me I was “one foot in the grave,” and I need to give myself a break.

To be perfectly honest, I am getting clearer every day but exhausted easily.

So we will see.

I am not giving up on you guys or my love for writing anytime soon!

Finally! I am out of the hospital!

Hello dear readers!

It’s true!

I am free!

We spoke with a wound care specialist late yesterday and we tried new treatments for the wound and it took well overnight.

So now I can go 2-3 days without messing with the wound, giving me time to have home health nurse come and administer the new treatment.

My oldest child and disabled mother were both taught how to do the treatment in case the dressing needed changed before the nurse could come.

Both of them are very secure in believing that they can do the treatment without having any problems

The walking is exhausting and I have to use a walker because I get light headed after about 50-80 feet.

Also sitting in the car or on a chair hurts because of where the wound is.

I am not allowed home because it two story so I am staying elsewhere for now.

I physically do not feel like the same person that I was before all this.

I am weak and constantly tired.

I have NEVER been the weak one in my family.

I have NEVER been the one cared for in the family

Everyone came to me to take care of them and came to me for physical and emotional strength.

I am in totally unknown territory.

But on the plus side… no more hospital food, hospital beds, 3am vital checks, 5am blood draws, and incessant visitors barging in.
